Important update

At this unprecedented time, we would like to provide assurance that we have plans in place to maintain operational resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. The health, safety and well-being of our teams, clients and local communities are our top priority.

In addition to our existing contingency plans, we have instigated additional COVID-19 readiness arrangements to address the issues specific to the current situation. We continue to monitor the situation and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to maintain our service and keep disruption to a minimum.

Whilst our offices will remain open until otherwise advised by the Government, with many staff now working remotely we are encouraging meetings to be held by telephone or video conference where possible to protect both clients and staff. Where this policy may present a potential problem, we will liaise with you to try to find a practical solution to this, bearing in mind the risk to you and our staff.

The technology we use means we are very well positioned to be able to continue to deliver the best possible service and maintain business as usual, so far as is possible under the current circumstances.

We will do our best to meet any agreed dates for the delivery of any work that is in progress, but should there be any unexpected and unavoidable delay we will inform you promptly.

Please be aware that there were several initiatives announced by the Government for assisting businesses during the Coronavirus, more information on that can be found here – and HMRC have set up a helpline to support businesses and the self-employed who are concerned about not being able to pay their tax due to COVID-19 – see how they can help here.

In addition, please see our latest article on facing cash flow issues as a result of COVID-19.

We are here for any support and guidance over this difficult period and if you have any concerns or questions please get in touch with your usual contact by email or by telephoning our offices. COVID-19 is set to impact all businesses in the coming months, but please be reassured that we are here to help you at this challenging time.

Best wishes
Tim Close, Chair, Milsted Langdon LLP
