Tell us a bit about yourself

I am a forensic accountant and expert witness providing assistance in matrimonial, criminal and civil matters. Whilst most people hate looking at their bank statements, I like nothing more than analysing what people have spent and where!

Recently I have helped the police secure a conviction where the son in law had abused his wife’s power of attorney over her mother’s affairs and helped a wife understand her soon to be ex-husband’s expenditure. I’m also the Chair of the Network of Independent Forensic Accountants (NIFA).

This national network of forensic accounting practices provides solicitors, barristers and insurance companies with expert advice, with its members playing critical roles in complex court cases. In addition, I’m a board member of the South West Fraud Forum, which aims to increase the resilience of regional organisations to the threats posed by fraud.

Which women inspire you the most?

Michelle Yeo – one of the greatest martial artists still making great films.

This year’s IWD theme is #EmbraceEquity, what does this mean to you?

Even though things have come a long way for women in the workplace, there’s still much more to be done and it’s important these conversations continue. I am just sad that we still need to talk about it in this day and age
