Milsted Langdon is backing an awards scheme celebrating the success of local businesses.
For the second year running, the firm is sponsoring the Small Business of the Year category of the Western Gazette Business awards. Now in their ninth year, the awards highlight the strength of businesses in Yeovil and the surrounding areas.
The Small Business category focuses on profitable, growing businesses with an annual turnover of less than £2 million or employing fewer than 25 people.
Partner Jon Stocker said: “At Milsted Langdon, we work with small businesses every day and take great pride in providing tailored services – like advice on business strategy and business structures, assistance with budgets, cash flow and raising finance and accountancy, tax, and payroll support – that help them to do better and grow bigger.
“That’s why we were pleased to sponsor the Small Business of the Year Award last year and to do so again this year. In a tough economic climate, these awards underline the fact that it’s not all doom and gloom out there.
“There are many business success stories to be found and it’s great to be a part of an initiative that turns the spotlight on entrepreneurs who have found innovative ways to run and develop their businesses. By celebrating their achievements, these awards can help to open the door to new opportunities and inspire others to follow their enterprising example.”
The awards will be presented at a dinner at the Westlands Leisure Centre, Yeovil, on 27 June.
