Down with DRD

Milsted Langdon is backing a campaign started by Taxation magazine to withdraw the proposals for HM Revenues & Customs to introduce direct recovery of tax debts (DRD) from taxpayers’ bank accounts in the Finance Act 2015.

The magazine’s editor, Mike Truman, initiated the e-petition and argues that DRD recovery has been criticised as being poorly conceived, unworkable, and severely deficient in safeguards. Mike argues that sufficient time should be given to carry out a wide-ranging consultation on the problem of deliberate non-payment and potential solutions.

As experts in taxation issues, Milsted Langdon’s team feel very strongly about DRD and would urge you to sign the e-petition.
