Leading accountants support Brexit for breakfast

Award-winning Chartered Accountants Milsted Langdon were proud to co-host the Kingston Maurward College Brexit Seminar this month.

Titled Brexit and the South West Economy, prominent keynote speakers were invited to voice their views on how the region should adapt to the uncertain economic times ahead.

The seminar was presented by Valerie Singleton OBE, known for her role on BBC Two’s hard hitting The Money Programme and PM for BBC Radio 4.

Speakers included Deborah Waddell, SW Regional Director of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), Professor Nigel Jump, Professor of Regional Economic Development at Bournemouth University and both Andrew Denning and Charlie Neil of Handelsbanken, a Swedish bank.

Speaking after the presentation, Gary Salter, Partner at Milsted Langdon, said: “Businesses across the UK are rightly tentative following the vote to leave the European Union. Our job as business advisers and industry experts is to pull these businesses through the tough economic climate and ensure positive growth on the other side.

“We would like to thank Kingston Maurward College for holding this much anticipated seminar. Brexit truly is a once in a generation event, and it is now time to prepare for the bumpy road ahead.”
