Milsted Langdon is proud to announce that Forensic Partner Roger Isaacs was appointed to the Executive Committee of MGI at the recent MGI AGM.
The southwest firm recognised some years ago that even some of its smaller clients periodically found themselves in need of advice from accountants in other jurisdictions. In order to help them access overseas support, Milsted Langdon joined the MGI International Network of independent audit, tax and accounting firms. The alliance has expanded all over the world since first starting in the UK, Africa and the US and now has more than 6,000 professionals in 315 locations in over 80 countries. Since joining MGI, Milsted Langdon has seen an ever greater number of occasions each year in which it calls upon member firms in other countries to help clients that are increasingly looking to expand their businesses beyond the UK.
The alliance’s annual general meeting moves to different locations each year. Held in London, the 2015 conference saw MGI members from places as far afield as Columbia, Madagascar, Switzerland, Venezuela and the USA visit the UK capital.
Having been appointed to MGI’s Managing Board, Roger was privileged to have the opportunity to address a global audience of over 200 MGI delegates at a Gala Dinner at Mansion House at the conclusion of the conference attended by Alderman Nick Anstee, the 682nd Lord Mayor of London.
Speaking of his position within MGI, Roger said: “I am privileged to have been asked to undertake this new role. It will give me an opportunity to get to know better an ever increasing number of MGI member firms so that when we refer our clients to them, we can do so with the confidence that they will be well looked after.”
