Milsted Langdon’s Roger Isaacs recently addressed the annual conference of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association (PNLA) in his capacity as the national technical director of the Network of Independent Forensic Accountants.
The event provided guidance about the trends emerging from the perspective of the judiciary, counsel, claimant and defendant solicitors, experts, ATE insurers and ADR practitioners.
Roger said: “Having recently been subject to a newly introduced and little used method of cross-examination known as witness conferencing, more colloquially as ‘Hot-Tubbing’, I shared my experience of the procedure and explained how it differed from a traditional approach. Other speakers included prominent Leading Counsel, Ben Patten QC, Patrick Lawrence QC and David Sears QC, all of whom followed a hugely entertaining and informative key note address from former judge of the Court of Appeal, Sir Alan Ward.”
