Milsted Langdon has further strengthened its tax offering by the addition of Leon Cane to its tax team.
Leon began his career as a chartered accountant in 1981 and qualified as a barrister in 1985.
He has held a number of senior roles in national and multi-national firms and brings a wealth of experience and expertise from which Milsted Langdon’s corporate clients will be able to benefit.
Leon’s expertise lies in the field of International Tax and he has already started working with other member firms within MGI – a leading international network of professionals to which Milsted Langdon belongs.
His skill set, combined with access via MGI to local accountancy expertise in foreign jurisdictions, is a powerful mix that allows him to provide relevant, proactive and cost-effective advice to businesses of all sizes whether they are looking to do business abroad or to invest in the UK.
Commenting on Leon’s recruitment, Milsted Langdon’s Tax Partner Rachael Verinder, said: “Despite the Government’s attempts to create an environment in which it sometimes seems that anyone who fails to arrange his or her affairs so as to maximise the amount of tax payable is morally culpable, we at Milsted Langdon firmly believe that there is still an important role for legitimate, responsible and technically sound tax-planning. After all, that is what most of our clients want from us.
“We are therefore delighted to welcome Leon to the firm and I look forward to introducing him to our clients and professional contacts over the next few months.”
Leon stated: “It is a rare treat to find a firm as proactive and client-focused as Milsted Langdon. In my experience the high quality of advice it offers is typically associated with far larger firms and much higher fees.
“It is therefore a pleasure to work in an organisation for whose clients I can help find innovative solutions in respect of their tax planning issues in a way that delivers real value for money.”
In addition to its critically-acclaimed taxation services, Milsted Langdon provides pragmatic and commercially-focused accounting, corporate finance and insolvency advice to business and individual clients, with a particular focus on owner-managed businesses.
