As one of the South West’s leading agricultural accountancy firms, Milsted Langdon has further strengthened its offering to landed estates by bolstering its experienced team.
The recent appointment of Mike Bagg as a new Director in the firm’s Yeovil office has allowed Milsted Langdon to boost its expertise and connections with some of the UK’s leading landed estates.
Mike is a specialist in inheritance tax, trusts and estate planning, succession planning, tax compliance and personal tax planning, with a particular knowledge of the unique issues faced by large family-owned and run rural estates.
Milsted Langdon has years of experience working with some of the largest landed estates in the South-West and nationally and can help with all aspects of the management of the estate, from day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll to specific, one-off projects and everything in-between.
It regularly advises custodians and trustees on a range of issues ensuring that family wealth is maintained and protected for years to come.
Speaking about the growth of the team and its unique specialist skills, Mike said: “The UK is well-known for its many landed estates and our main area of work, the South West, is dotted with areas of land that have been owned by the same families for generations.
“As with any family business, they require support to ensure that they remain successful well into the future, which is where we are more than happy to help.”
He said that a growing number of large rural estates had come to realise the value that specialist accountants can add and that he expected more families to come forward for assistance.
