Thomas is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Accountants with nearly 10 years of post-qualification experience.

Thomas is involved with technical and compliance matters around audit and accounts to provide solutions that are both practical and fit the ambitions of clients. This covers not just his own clients but those across the firm, liaising with staff at all levels across all offices.

He trained and qualified in a family run firm in Hertfordshire dealing with family-run businesses. Post qualification, he moved to a small central London firm to broaden his knowledge with larger and more complex businesses.

He joined the Milsted Langdon team in 2017 as a supervisor where he has continued to increase his technical knowledge and become an integral member of various committees. This includes the audit compliance group to ensure that the firm’s audits are adhering to the latest changes and best practice. A key goal of Thomas is to help the firms’ clients navigate the changes in auditing and accounting standards in addition to providing firmwide internal training sessions for staff.

His experience includes audit engagements and accounts preparation, including consolidations under merger and acquisition accounting. Thomas has had significant involvement with a variety of businesses, with turnovers up to and above £50 million, covering sectors like the motor trade and recruitment.

Thomas also specialises in several niche reporting areas for clients such as grant audits and FCA regulated businesses ensuring such engagements are completed promptly and cost effectively to ensure client’s reporting requirements are met.
