A West Country-based holiday parks business has clocked up record-breaking sales at a major industry event.
Hoburne Holiday Parks – a family business founded almost a century ago – achieved more than £1.1 million in sales at the Holiday Park and Homes Show, held at Beaulieu, Hampshire, from 26-28 September.
Some 22 holiday homes were sold to new and upgrading customers and the sales also included a deal on a new lodge, the first to be sited at Hoburne Bashley in New Milton, Hampshire.
The show was so successful that Hoburne has scheduled open weekends at its seven parks across Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, the Cotswolds, Hampshire and Somerset.
Meanwhile, the Yorkshire Post reported on 24 September that Wayside Holiday Park in Wrelton, North Yorkshire, is investing £450,000 to create 38 lodges on a new 10-acre lakeside site after seeing 20 per cent growth in just three years.
