Southwest-based chartered accountancy firm Milsted Langdon held a tax update session before Christmas to provide visitors with an expert insight into the implications of Chancellor George Osborne’s 2014 Autumn Statement.

Tax Partner Rachael Verinder focused on the Statement and then Steve Horton – who leads Milsted Langdon Financial Services – provided an update on the forthcoming pension changes.

Consultant Economist Kevin Butler, formerly of the Bank of England, was also there to provide an expert update on the state of the UK economy.

Rachael commented: “It was great to see so many people turn up. This was an interesting pre-election Autumn Statement and there was a lot to take on board. Our session explained the facts and how they affect people and we’re looking forward to doing it again next year.”
