Jon is a highly experienced Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser with a deep understanding of the tax challenges and opportunities facing owner-managed businesses.
He has more than 20 years’ experience in tax, advising clients across a broad range of sectors, including technology, engineering, manufacturing, professional services and consultancy.
Jon specialises in situations where corporate and personal taxes interact. He takes particular satisfaction in translating complex tax issues for clients and strives to provide practical guidance that helps them achieve their business and personal goals, while managing tax risk.
Examples of his work includes advising on Research & Development (R&D) tax claims, helping to implement share schemes such as Employee Ownership Trusts and EMI plans, advising and supporting clients on reorganisations, company sales and acquisitions.
Jon brings a commercial down to earth approach to tax advice, notably on transactions, where he enjoys working closely with clients and their other professional advisers.
Before joining Milsted Langdon in April 2025, Jon spent 14 years as Tax Director at another leading tax practice.
Jon is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).
