David Jacobs, a Partner at leading South West accountancy firm Milsted Langdon and a respected figure in the region’s business and accountancy community, is stepping down.
David’s retirement marks the end of an illustrious career spanning four decades in the accountancy industry.
David began his career in 1985, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with a large international accountancy firm.
He later founded his own independent accountancy practice in Bristol, which thrived under his leadership before he joined Milsted Langdon in 2004 as one of the first members of the Bristol office.
David has been instrumental in helping to oversee the firm’s audit functions and providing expert advice to a diverse clientele.
Throughout his 21-year tenure with the firm, he has specialised in various sectors, including the dental profession, residential and nursing care homes, barristers, IT and technology, and manufacturing.
His commitment to delivering advice that not only serves his clients’ immediate needs but also fosters long-term value within the businesses he supports, has been a hallmark of his career.
Reflecting on his retirement, David said: “It has been a privilege to serve our clients and work alongside some of the most talented professionals in the industry.
“While I look forward to enjoying my retirement, I will always cherish the relationships I’ve built and the successes we’ve shared at Milsted Langdon.”
Simon Rowe, Chair of Milsted Langdon, commented on David’s retirement: “David has been a cornerstone of our firm’s growth over the last two decades and been a big part in maintaining our reputation for excellence.
“His expertise and dedication have been invaluable, not only to Milsted Langdon, but also to the many clients he has advised over the years.
“We are immensely grateful for his contributions and wish him all the best for the future as he enjoys his retirement. He and I joined the Bristol Office of Milsted Langdon at the same time when our presence in the city amounted to only half a dozen people and a whole lot of ambition. We wouldn’t be where we are now without his input.”
Milsted Langdon is committed to maintaining the high standards of service and expertise that David exemplified during his time at the firm.
