Milsted Langdon embraces charity through varied events in 2024

We are proud to have continued our commitment to community and charity through a series of events over the last year.

Our firm’s involvement spans various causes, highlighting our team’s dedication to making a positive impact on the places they work and live.

Here are some of our key charity events:

  • Corporate engagement: Participated in Business Fives Ltd’s corporate charity football tournament, and the 7-a-side charity hockey tournament organised by Porter Dodson to benefit The Bristol Children’s Hospital – The Grand Appeal.
  • Community and health support: Joined Clarke Willmott’s charity rounders tournament supporting Young Somerset and the Big Avon Paddle to raise funds for Dorothy House Hospice.
  • Educational and environmental initiatives: Contributed by donating old desk phones to Kiddi Caru Day Nursery for educational purposes and engaged in a beach clean focusing on environmental stewardship.
  • Seasonal and creative fundraising: Hosted an Easter bake sale for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, took part in National Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children UK, and organised a Christmas charity bake sale in our Bath and Bristol offices aiding Gympanzees.

Additionally, we once again sponsored significant events, such as the South West Charity Conference and the Taunton Round Table Speaker Evening, supporting local Samaritans.

We also showed our intellectual prowess at the Brain of Bath quiz for Julian House and Bath Rugby Foundation’s Halloween Quiz.

Staff-led charity initiatives

We also proudly acknowledge individual staff members who have supported various charities:

  • Ben Branson, Tax Partner: Organised a Memorial Rugby Match for Beth Branson to support St Giles Animal Welfare and the Wooden Spoon Charity.
  • Helen Hulbert, Business Innovation Accountant: Donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust.
  • Saskia Manning-Bewley, General Practice Accountant: Participated in a Cancer Research Walk and a 10k run for the British Heart Foundation.

As a firm, we remain committed to helping charities and communities thrive, showing that our work extends beyond business to genuinely enrich local people’s lives and support vital causes.
