Guy Armitage-Norton
For over a decade, Guy’s focus has been working with clients to provide practical support, tailored to their specific needs and designed to add real value to their businesses.
Guy is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). He has developed particular expertise in reporting systems, international reporting standards and audits from his time working at ‘The Big Four’. He works with a significant number of start-ups and high growth companies to help them get to the ‘next level’. From here, his traditional skillset kicks in, working with businesses ranging in size from £5 million to more than £1 billion in sectors including bio-medical sciences, charities, manufacturing and marketing.
Guy is also experienced in audit reporting under a range of standards, including UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP), the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the US Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Elsewhere, his industry secondments have included acting as financial controller for a large, regional construction company, advising on improving financial systems and cash flow management. This experience has allowed him to gain valuable insight into clients’ needs and as a result he provides strategic transactional advice to a number of property / land-based clients.
Guy began his accountancy career in 2008 and before joining Milsted Langdon in 2015 was an audit and assurance services manager with a Big Four accountancy firm.
In 2019, Guy was listed as one of the UK’s top 35 accountants under the age of 35 by industry publication Accountancy Age. As a result of outstanding client feedback, Guy was described as “future-focused, ready to help his firm expand and offer global service to both new and existing clients.”
