Ian has a wealth of experience in advising owner-managed businesses across a wide range of sectors. His clients benefit from his close links with Business West and the Confederation of British Industry.
Ian is committed to building strong working relationships with his clients and an important part of that approach is to put himself in the client’s shoes, to understand from their perspective what guidance they need including areas such as proactivity, accessibility and costs. Ian enjoys regular contact with his clients and the opportunity to work as part of their teams as a trusted adviser, providing timely, holistic advice designed to support strategic plans and business growth.
Ian began his accountancy career in 1981 and before joining Milsted Langdon in 2015 spent 16 years as general practice/lead partner with an accountancy practice in Chippenham, where as well as managing the practice he oversaw two mergers. He was also president of the local Chamber of Commerce.
Other roles have included three years with national estate agents and property consultants Strutt & Parker, as head of the firm’s client accounting department for the South West, based in Salisbury.
