Ruth has specialised in insolvency work since 2000, when she joined a boutique insolvency practice, and is experienced in managing corporate and personal insolvency cases – including liquidations, bankruptcies, administrations, voluntary arrangements and insolvency compliance.

As Restructuring and Insolvency Director and Appointment Taker based in our Bristol and Bath offices, her focus is to provide an efficient, responsive service to all stakeholders.

Ruth began her career in bookkeeping, qualifying as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2006 and becoming a Fellow member (FCCA) in 2011. She was previously a committee member of the ACCA Bristol Members Network, where her work included acting as an ambassador for the ACCA.

She gained the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI), awarded by the Insolvency Practitioners Association, in 2007 and passed Joint Insolvency Examination Board exams in 2009. She became a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in 2013.

Ruth is also a Court Appointed Receiver and works to support debt collection during complex cases from the Family Courts.

She works with clients and uses her powers to sell, transfer or mortgage those assets to enable payment of outstanding debts.
