Milsted Langdon embraces the charity spirit in 2025

We are proud to have continued our commitment to community and charity through a series of events over the last year and into 2025.

Our firm’s involvement spans various causes, highlighting our team’s dedication to making a positive impact on the places they work and live.

Here are some of our key charity events in the last 12 months:

  • Corporate engagement: We once again took part in Business Fives Ltd’s corporate charity football tournament, raising £1,100 in 2025 for our chosen charity, Talking Money.

In 2024, we also participated in the 7-a-side charity hockey tournament organised by Porter Dodson to benefit The Bristol Children’s Hospital – The Grand Appeal.

  • Community and health support: We joined Clarke Willmott’s charity rounders tournament last year supporting Young Somerset and the Big Avon Paddle to raise funds for Dorothy House Hospice.

In 2025, we have continued to support local causes by attending and supporting the Frome Lions Club’s annual charity sporting dinner and taking part in the Taunton Swimathon, raising money for three local charities – Duke of Edinburgh Somerset Bursary Committee, Taunton East Development Trust, and Stand Against Violence.

  • Educational and environmental initiatives: We contributed by donating old desk phones to Kiddi Caru Day Nursery for educational purposes and engaged in a beach clean, focusing on environmental stewardship.
  • Seasonal and creative fundraising: Our team hosted multiple Easter bake sales in 2025, including one for Children with Cancer UK and another in support of The Grand Appeal.

At the end of 2024, we also took part in National Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children UK and organised a Christmas charity bake sale in our Bath and Bristol offices aiding Gympanzees.

Additionally, we continued our sponsorship of significant events, such as the South West Charity Conference and the Taunton Round Table Speaker Evening, supporting local Samaritans.

We also showed our intellectual prowess at the Brain of Bath quiz for Julian House and Bath Rugby Foundation’s Halloween Quiz.

Staff-led charity initiatives

We proudly acknowledge individual staff members who have gone the extra mile to support various charities:

  • Ben Branson, Tax Partner: Organised a Memorial Rugby Match for Beth Branson to support St Giles Animal Welfare and the Wooden Spoon Charity.
  • Helen Hulbert, Business Innovation Accountant: Donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust.
  • Saskia Manning-Bewley, General Practice Accountant: Participated in a Cancer Research Walk and a 10k run for the British Heart Foundation.
  • Sophie Taylor, team member: Took part in the London Marathon in aid of The Stroke Association in 2025.

As a firm, we remain committed to helping charities and communities thrive, showing that our work extends beyond business to genuinely enrich local people’s lives and support vital causes.
